Diode laser technologY

          After a quite extensive testing period, we have chosen to use the most suitable laser for skin types II, III and IV. These skin types are the most common in Ireland. We have found that a combination of two wavelengths - 808nm and 940nm - generates the best results for our target group.

          The 808nm wavelength light is highly absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicles, while the 940nm wavelength deactivates the blood vessels around the follicle to halt its regeneration. This is the Dual Blend technology used by Laser Time.

          Then followed a training period during which our team learned to use the laser and configure it for each individual client.

​

          We differentiate ourselves in the Irish market through the technology we possess and how we utilize it. Essentially, we divide larger areas into smaller sections and make two passes, one transversal and one longitudinal, to ensure that the follicles reach the necessary temperature for selective photothermolysis. When working on smaller areas like underarms and bikini, we can even perform up to four passes, and up to six passes on facial areas. This is the Divide & Slide working mode at Laser Time.

          The only downside of our technology is that the sessions take longer, 1h15' for legs or 2h30' for Full Body, but the most important aspect is the end result - over 97% efficient removal of hair.
